Crochet students were busy over the holiday, making caps, ponchos and scarves for friends and family.
Starting in January 2011, students will make caps in a variety of colors, styles and sizes for underprivledged children in Guatemala.
In December, a 5 by 5 (that's 25 squares total!) afghan was donated to the Lotus House in Miami - a well-respected womens shelter.
Also in December, 2010, over 25 caps were donated to Jackson Hospital for preemie babies, made by crochet students.
If you are a crocheter or knitter and want to participate in our Hats for Guatemala project drop an email at the Contact Us page and we can supply you with patterns and yarn.
